Ann Garcia
Besides a dozen years as a financial advisor, Ann’s business background includes marketing and strategic planning in the technology industry and owning two businesses, a professional services firm and a wine importer/distributor. Ann holds the CFP® designation and earned her BA from the University of California, Berkeley. She is the author of How to Pay for College and a member of Phi Beta Kappa and of NAPFA, the leading association of fee-only financial advisors.
Ann and her husband live in the Portland area. Their twins just graduated (debt-free!) from college. Evenings and weekends find her exploring Portland’s food scene, running the Wildwood Trail, or on the soccer pitch as a spectator, coach or player.
Scott Emblen
Scott has a combination of breadth and depth in financial services spanning over 20 years. He earned the CFP® designation in 2003. In addition to his client-facing roles, Scott spent several years on the institutional side educating advisors on financial products and services. Scott also holds the CDFA® designation and has helped many individuals and couples navigate the divorce process. Scott earned his BA from Oregon State University.
Scott is a native of the Portland area. Outside of work, he has completed several Ironman Triathlons. With that accomplishment checked off, he is focused on enjoying the outdoors and active living with his girlfriend and stepdaughter.
